BandWidth Place Broadband Speed Test

A visitor suggested running a speed test at the bandwidth place. This internet speed test uses an image to test your speed and you are limited to running the test only 3 times per month. If you want to take the test more than 3 times, you can pay $12 [at time of this post] and they'll allow you 100 tests per month.

As for hosting the test on our site, they don't believe in giving away free tests, and we ‘re not about to pay for it.

Host your own. With a host your own subscription ($20 per month at the time of this post) you can put a link or form on your website or intranet to let your users run a test from your server. All you'll need is a image file.

Still, it's a very basic test that will help you determine you bandwidth speed. In fact, it's similar to our Download Speed Test Script which you're free to use.
