The following speed test is a java applet and more accurate than your average javascript test. Almost all of the accurate speed tests found on the internet are in the form of an applet. This test has three options that include an upload speed test, download speed test and all; all simply executes both tests rather than performing a download or upload broadband test by itself.

If you're a visitor looking to test your internet speed, then simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and run the test. It's fast, accurate and should not take more than a 10 seconds.
